Youfilmit agrees to supply the following services:
- A ‘kit’,each ‘kit’ containing a minimum: 1 x Sony NEXVG20/30 Camcorder, 1 x tripod, 1 x Sony video light or similar, 1 x128GB or 1 x 64GB SD cards, 2 Sony battery’s for the purpose of filming the customers wedding.
- Training material in the form of on-line video tutorials and or printed manuals.
- All footage provided will be edited into chapters and supplied in standard DVD format. A minimum of 3 copies are provided.
TERMS OF PAYMENT:
To secure your booking we request an upfront payment of 50% payable by credit card, paypal or bank transfer. This 50% deposit is non-refundable and will secure your youfilmit service for the date specified. Bookings are confirmed by email within 2 business days following receipt of your deposit. We will contact you 4 weeks prior to your wedding day where the remaining balance will be payable within 7 days.
Our standard rental period is 3 or 4 days depending on the day that your wedding falls. If The camera(s) will be delivered on the working day prior to the wedding day and collected on the first working day post the wedding day. The youfilmit team will arrange for delivery of the kit via our selected courier. The customer agrees to package the equipment in the boxes provided by youfilmit and use the ‘what’s in the box’ checklist to confirm all items have been inspected and packaged as agreed. The customer will agree an address for delivery and collection (can be different addresses) prior to the wedding date. Youfilmit cannot be held responsible for a delay in delivery if someone is unavailable to sign for equipment on the date agreed or at the address provided. Failure to have someone available at the specified address on the day of delivery and collection will result in an additional day’s hire being payable to youfilmit to cover rebooking courier costs.
Our kits are fully insured with an exceess of $400. In the unlikely event that youfilmit should have to make a claim, the customer is responsible for the $400 excess in full. The kits will be left in the care of the customer in good working condition and any damage, loss or theft of the equipment whilst in their care, will be charged to the customer up to a maximum of $400. In the case of loss, damage or theft of the equipment, the customer agrees to contact youfilmit immediately and youfilmit cannot be held responsible for the resulting lack of footage.
DENIAL OF SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse rental service to anyone at anytime where we deem it is in our best interest on the basis of credit, past history, lack of safety precaution, or likelihood of abuse.
We may also refuse rental service at anytime and our obligation under any contract executed will be void should we discover that the intended use of the equipment presents a serious safety hazard and/or violates any constitutional or by law.
The customer agrees to examine the kit upon delivery to ensure that they are in good working order. If there are any technical or operator issues at this point, the customer agrees to raise them with youfilmit. The customer also agrees to return the equipment in the same condition as when it was received, ordinary wear and tear accepted. The customer is solely responsible for the equipment, and those who use it, whilst it is in their possession and accepts full responsibility for loss or damage to the equipment. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the camcorders are filming throughout the course of the wedding day. Youfilmit cannot be held responsible for the lack of footage, poor quality of filming and the loss of SD cards from the wedding day.
You agree to indemnify youfilmit and its’ employees and agents from and against any and all losses, damages, claims, or liability of any kind whatsoever, including legal expenses, arising from the use, condition (including, without limitation, latent or other defects) or operation of the equipment, and by whosoever used or operated the equipment during the rental term. Youfilmit is not responsible for accident or injury caused directly or indirectly by the use of the rented equipment.
In the unlikely event that youfilmit cannot perform the services agreed upon; all fees paid by the customer will be refunded. Youfilmit will take the utmost care with respect to delivery, editing and delivery of final video footage.
Youfilmit reserves the right to use any footage for promotional or any other purposes or public display. The video is produced for the customer’s personal, private, in-home use. The customer assumes all liability for any form of copyright infringement and is responsible for any personal releases.
In the event that circumstances arise that are beyond our control our liability is limited. Circumstances beyond our control include, but are not limited to: acts of nature, electrical power failures, strikes, labour disputes, riots, insurrections, civil disturbances, fires, flood, storms, explosions, war, governmental actions, non performance of third parties, or loss or fluctuations of electrical power Youfilmit shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations if such a failure or delay is due to Force Majeure
HOW DO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
Where possible, we collect your personal information directly from you. This collection includes through your:
- purchase of a videography package;
- entry into promotions or competitions;
- communications with us such as telephone calls and emails regarding services and products;
WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
The personal information we collect varies depending upon the purpose of the collection and the product or service we are providing you. Generally, we collect the following types of personal information:
- name and address;
- telephone/e-mail contact details; and
- bank account/credit card numbers and associated details as reasonably required in relation to processing payments at your request.
WHY DO WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We will collect your personal information if it is reasonably necessary for the performance of our business activities and functions, which includes providing a range of products and services to you, some of which are listed below.
4.1 Purchase of a videography package We collect personal information from individuals who purchase our video packages in order to process their payments.
4.2 Sales Promotions, Competitions We collect personal information when you respond to one of our promotions or competitions in order to inform you if you have won a prize and to help us better understand what products and services you would like to receive information about in the future.
WHO DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO?
We provide your personal information to third parties in order to carry out our business activities and functions. This may include:
- organisations who are sponsoring or otherwise involved with or participating in a promotion or offer;
- other companies or individuals we engage to perform functions on our behalf, such as mailing a subscription, processing credit card information, mailing information or prizes, data analysis, telemarketing, research and advertising; and
- with your specific and prior consent, to other companies or individuals for the purposes you have consented to.
We ensure that any organisation which we disclose your personal information to is subject to appropriate contractual obligations to safeguard and protect your personal information and comply with all Privacy Laws.
In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information where required or authorised to do so by law, including in emergency situations and to assist law enforcement agencies. We will always ensure that those to whom we disclose your personal information have the legal right to receive it.

We understand that the security of your personal information is important. As such, we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

You can access or correct your personal information by contacting us using the ‘Contact Details’ set out. Please provide us with as much detail as you can about the particular information you wish to access or correct, in order to help us retrieve it.
If you wish to delete the personal information we hold about you, please let us know by contacting us using the ‘Contact Details’ set out below and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons.
We use the information collected from cookies for a number of reasons:
- for statistical purposes in order to track how many users we have and how often they visit our website or apps;
- to provide you with a more personalised, convenient and interactive experience on our website;
- to track who has viewed an advertisement or clicked-through an advertisement; and
- to provide you with a more targeted advertising experience both on and off our website, allowing us to impose restrictions where appropriate and monitor how effective an advertising campaign has been.
We engage Google Analytics to analyse the performance of our website and to provide us with reports that contain aggregated, de-identified benchmark information that assists us to understand when, and how many times, you have used our website. The anonymous information assists us in the selection of advertisements for groups of individuals.
